History of the Paramount Theatre

The Paramount opened in 1930 during the golden age of cinema. Its design is inspired by Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, with decorative tile, detailed carvings, and a ceiling painted to look like a starry night sky. During World War II, it served as a popular destination for soldiers and their families.
